The difference between consulting and working for yourself is very small. Consulting is solving other companies’ problems, and not your own. This business model became very popular in South Africa. I was always of the opinion that consultants are the most educated people in there field. With our laws and the overheads on salaries, a consultant is anyone that can solve a problem in a reasonable time. To put it in very simple terms, consultants are problem solvers.
